Smart Eating Habits for Your Family
Whether you have a toddler or a teen, here are four important things to do to improve nutrition and encourage smart eating habits:
- Have regular family meals.
- Serve a variety of healthy foods and snacks.
- Be a role model by eating healthy yourself.
- Involve kids in the process.
An important reason why kids should be involved: It can help prepare them to make good decisions on their own about the foods they want to eat. The mealtime habits you help create now can lead to a lifetime of healthier choices.
One of my clients put together this pretend “cooking show” about a HEALTHY cupcake that you could make with your kids! Can’t wait to make these myself!
